Jude 24-25 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
KJV
I watched most of the presidential debate last evening and was left with no change of mind about how I will vote in November, that was decided long ago. But I watched and listened as each candidate brought up things out of the past concerning the other and each wanted to prove how evil the other was. I was thinking then of many things in my past, sins committed, and how I am accused of them before God by Satan. Yet I do not have to answer for them, I never will, because they are under the blood, Jesus has forgiven me and He and He alone will present me faultless before the Father one day. I am not saying that the Christian is perfect, sanctified and set apart from sin after salvation. I am not saying there is no accountability for the Christian, that we will not stand before God and give account for we will. But I am saying that when my past is brought up before God there is an answer, the blood of Jesus, that He has forgiven me and washed my sins away. What a shocking thing that would have been last evening, for one to stand up and say they had just repented of sin, turned to Jesus Christ and asked Him to forgive and save them, that their sins were under the blood. That would have secured my vote last night just as I know I am secure in Jesus Christ.
