Paul was the human instrument used of the Holy Spirit to write down the words in the book of Romans. Notice what Paul, what the Bible says will be the standard of judgment as we stand before Jesus Christ one day, “My gospel”. What then is that standard? Is it a gospel that Paul came up with, one like the gospel that Joseph Smith came up with that the cult of Mormon is based upon? Is it the gospel of Russell that the gospel of the Jehovah Witness is based upon? Or is a gospel unique to Paul? None of those are true, the gospel that was Paul’s gospel is the gospel of Jesus Christ. (1 Cor 15:1-6 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.) When Paul says “My gospel” he is referring to the gospel he believed, the gospel he embraced, and the gospel he preached, Paul’s gospel is the gospel of Jesus Christ. My friend there is no other gospel, no other message, no other way to salvation and heaven than the gospel of Jesus Christ. I will be going to visit a man this morning who has over and over again rejected the gospel, a man that some say will not talk to me. I will go to see him bathed in prayer, but also with a very powerful weapon, the gospel of Jesus Christ. I will go to see him with Paul’s gospel, the one and only gospel we all need to believe and receive and praise God all can believe it and receive it.
