Eph 5:18-20 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
KJV
One of the sings of the last days is unthankful people. (2 Tim 3:1-2 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,) We might expect that in the lost but we see it more and more in the professing Christian as well. Have you noticed just how unthankful people are toward God today? There are Christians I know whom I have never heard praise God for anything. They may from time to time say they are thankful for their salvation, but I have never heard testimony from them of the goodness of God day by day. We have nothing of ourselves friends, even the ability to see and understand words on a page comes from God. I awoke this morning, am reading the Bible, will be able to pray in a few moments, can walk, have a home to live in, a car to drive, a family, I have much to be thankful for today. But just how much will I thank Him, thank God for what He has given to me this very day. My day ought to be marked, by my singing His praises and making melody in my heart to the Lord that others can see.
