August 9th, 2016 by Pastor SolleyCol 3:1-4 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

The word “If” is a small one, only two letter, yet it is used in big ways in the Bible. “If ye be risen with Christ”, if you are born again, what then should we be looking for, what should we be seeking after? Far too many Christians or at least professing Christians are looking at the world, placing their hope in the world, when they should be seeking after the Lord, seeking God’s will in their lives and serving Him. Who is going to win the election in the fall and what will this do to America? Will we continue on as we are or will the nation fall under the wrath of God? Will there be jobs in 2017? Questions, questions, questions. Some of them are troubling to us, yet we need to keep our goal in mind, a goal of serving and being faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ. Are you risen with Christ? Are you born again? Then we need to ser our affections above and not here below.
