August 1st, 2016 by Pastor SolleyNum 16:27-32 So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.
28 And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the Lord hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.
29 If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the Lord hath not sent me.
30 But if the Lord make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the Lord.
31 And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:
32 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.

This is the first time the phrase “Little children” is used in the Bible. Here we see when there was a revolt against Moses that God intervened and the people who stood against the prophet were swallowed up by the earth. In much the same way we find a generation of young people being swallowed up by Satan and the world today. Look at the young people, the way they dress, the tattoos, the piercing, drug abuse, alcoholism, we see a generation being swallowed up by the world. Even when they try or seemingly try to find the Lord Satan pushes them in the wrong direction. I happened to see a group of young people from one of the modern churches in our area yesterday, a part of what they would call a Christian band. They had tattoos, both boys and girls, studs in their noses and lips, the girls had on shorts that were much too short, the boys dressed in baggy pants, they were playing rock music and Jonny Cash songs in which they would mix in the words grace, love, mercy, Jesus and so on. I wonder if any of them ever pick up a Bible, if they have ever heard of repentance and a changed life in Christ. I say this to ask for your prayers today as we begin our week of youth Bible camp. We want to give our young people an alternative to the world. We are expecting 60 or so campers this morning and as they come in they will set aside their electronics for a week, take out the studs, put all away and we want to give them Christ. Three chapel services a day, devotions in the evening, memory verses, we want to give them something different, something they need. I will try and give updates but I know I will be spending some nights at the camp so I don’t know when they will come, no PC at camp. Please pray God protect our camp.
