Daily Devotions

Phil 3:13-1413 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Yesterday we did our forgetting, today let us do our pressing. Many things about 2009 need to put behind us but now what of 2010? What are your goals for the New Year? Do you want to get that big promotion at work? Get good grads in school? Find that perfect high paying job? Buy a new car? What are your goals for 2010? Have you set any spiritual goals? Do you want to get closer to Jesus than you ever have been before? Do you want to spend more time in prayer and Bible study? Do you want to become that worker that needs not to be ashamed? Do you want to be a better witness. Most people when the New Year begins will have set goals and made resolutions that are only of this world. When and if that is the case as 2010 ends they will have many tings to forget. But when you press for Christ you will find things that you want to remember and hold onto. Press for Christ in this New Year.
