Daily Devotions

Mark 6:31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

Sorry for no devotional yesterday, it was a day to come apart and rest. We are never to come apart from God, we never need a rest from Him. Yesterday I went hunting and had a time all to myself. Then a water battle with my grandson, which I seemed to come out on the short end of. Then to the cemetery for a memorial service followed by an afternoon and evening with friends and family. It was a good day and days like that are needed by all. But as I think of that I am reminded that God never takes a day of from us and we are never to take a day off from Him. There needs to be always time set apart for Him, time to pray, time for reading and meditating upon His Word. As we head now into summer this is something we need keep in our minds, always make some time for God each day, even days of rest and relaxation.
