2 Cor 8:9For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

Luke 2:6-7

6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

Thank you Jesus for making yourself “poor” for me. Thank you Jesus that so long ago you left your home in heaven, you sat aside your glory, you became poor for me. Thank you Jesus that you placed yourself for a time under the rules of this world, under the authority of man, and in the will of the Father became poor for me. Thank you Jesus for loving me, thank you Jesus for caring for me, thank you Jesus for humbling yourself for me. Thank you Jesus for all that you did that I cannot even imagine. Thank you Jesus for Christmas. Thank you Jesus for the path that began in Bethlehem and that ended with an empty tomb. Thank you Jesus for becoming “poor” for me. Help me Jesus to remember to meditate upon you tomorrow. Help me Jesus to remember what was done so I can celebrate Christmas. Thank you Jesus.
