18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

As Jesus speaks to John in the Revelation He tells the beloved apostle “Fear not”. The only way that fear can be taken out of our lives is if we have a good fear of God, a respect and reverence for God because we know Him, know who God is and have a personal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. The first step to that of course is repentance to salvation. Then we need to spend time with God. There are many things that interrupt that personal time with God, but we need to make the time to be apart and alone with God. To shut out and off the world and the things of the world and just spend time with God. Abraham feared the people of the land because they had no fear of God. (Genesis 20) We live in a nation with no fear of God. But if we as Christian learn who God is and learn to fear the Lord, will not God use that to turn this nation around? Instead of thinking that is impossible why not spend the time with god and see what God can do?
