Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
KJV
In Jesus Christ we have access to the throne of grace, we can come boldly before Him. What then can we ask of Him in prayer? Anything! In a few moments after I post this I will go to the Lord in prayer and it amazes me all that I will ask of Him. There needs to be a time of thanks in prayer, a time when we acknowledge who God is and who we are, but I will ask many things of the Lord today as I do each day. There are many miracles I will ask of God today. I will ask the Lord to touch bodies and heal the sick, some with grave illnesses, some facing operations, some in ICU units, some with colds and flues. I will ask the Lord to turn hearts and minds. Some needed to be turned from sin, others from neglect, still others needed to be drawn to him and turn their lives over to Christ fully. I will ask the Lord to work in the lives of the lost. Yes turning many to salvation in Christ, but other needs as well. I will ask the Lord to have employers make jobs available to those seeking work and so on. I will ask God for protection throughout this day, protection from Satan, protection from temptation and sin, protection in driving. I will ask God for provision and to reveal his will to me. Yes, there are many things I will ask for this day and I can expect to be heard by the God of heaven because Jesus made it possible to come boldly before Him. I will also ask for his will to be done in all things and most especially my life. Above all I know that I can ask anything of Him, big or small, I can ask. I once prayed for a pet rabbit of my little girl’s to come home after it ran away and she was heartbroken. God did answer that prayer for her proving that God wants to hear even the smallest of things. I prayed for my son after he was diagnosed will a grave illness to be healed and God answered that prayer as well, proving that God wants to hear the impossible prayer as well. I can ask anything this morning because I can find help in my hour of need at the throne of grace.
