Daily Devotions

Ps 121:1-3 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Is the winter storm coming or not? Some say yes, some say no, no one knows for sure. But what of all the preparations that have been made? Was it a waste of time to have the snow blower ready to go, the salt ready, was it all a waste of time? No it wasn’t because a storm is coming one day even if the one expected misses us. So it is with our walk with the Lord, nothing is ever wasted. The strength we gain by looking to Him, by relying on Him, by prayer and time in His Word is never wasted. In truth we will never know how many storms that saves us from, our preparation in the Lord. And when the storms of life do come our way we are more than ready for them in the Lord.
