Acts 14:8-11 And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked:
9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.
11 And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.

To continue this morning with signs and wonders from yesterday. We do see in the Bible that God is a God of miracles. We can begin with creation in Genesis 1 – 2, look at the parting of the Red Sea, the walls of Jericho, the battle between David and Goliath, the life of the prophet Elijah, the many lame, blind, dumb, and deaf healed by Jesus, those raised from the dead, the healing hands of the apostles, and we see that God is a God of miracles. Many wonder why God doesn’t work the same way today as He did in ages past, many ask, where are the miracles? But if this is true, that Satan works harder today that he ever has, and I believe that is true, then wouldn’t God be worker harder as well? Common sense tells us that God would be working harder and then doing even more miracles today that ever. Why then can’t we see them? Mostly because we look for the wrong type of signs. Remember that God saving souls is a miracle, God extended grace and mercy is a miracle, a life lived for the Lord is a miracle, Christ in you is a miracle. What the Christian needs to do is live for the Christ within them and then perhaps the world would be able to see the miracles in front of them. Miracles were seen in Paul and then can be seen in you today as we live a life devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ.
