KJV
How secure is salvation in Christ? People have asked me in the past what camp I am a part of, the one that says salvation can never be lost, or the one that says salvation can be found, lost, and found again. I am of neither camp, but I do believe what the Bible says. My Bible says concerning the born again, blood washed believer in Christ that we are His. But note the latter part of the verse, not only are we Christ’s, but Christ is God’s. Don’t miss the meaning here. If I am His and He is God’s, then I am as secure in Christ as Christ is in the Father. When will God the Father disown His Son, when will Jesus Christ cease to be the Son of God? That will of course never happen and so it is that I will never cease to be Christ’s. When a lost sinner repents and turns to Jesus Christ, when he or she cries out for God’s free gift of salvation they become the purchased possession of Jesus Christ, they are His. We then are also God’s and just as secure in being a child of God as the Son of God is being a part of that eternal Godhead. What a blessing to be in Christ.
