John 10:27-28 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
KJV
John 14:2-4 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
KJV
Jer 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
KJV
Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
KJV
Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
KJV
These truly are precious promises given to the born again believer in Christ, and there are many, many more in the Bible like them. Why is it that so many would question such promises made by God? I hear from people from time to time that no one can really know if they are saved, that it is possible to lose your salvation, that doesn’t listen when they pray, that they feel so all alone and so on. Those statements contradict the Bible, contradict the Word of God. Why is that some cannot rest in the promises of God? Because of that in this world and in our lives that hinder the promises of God. What am I talking about? Satan stands before us to hinder the promises of God just as he stood before Eve in the Garden of Eden, Satan works to hinder the promises of God. Our own flesh hinders the promises of God as we often wonder within ourselves if God is really able to answer our prayers. Our doubts and fears hinder the promises of God as we feel all alone at times in this world, our minds taken away from the Lord by troubles and trials. There are many things that hinder the promises of God, but rest assured my friend that God always keeps His Word. Rest upon the promises of God.
