Dailey Devotions
December 2nd, 2009 by Pastor Solley28 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee , Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? The question in verse 29 was asked of Jesus by the demons. One of three recorded places they asked Him this question; what have we to do with thee? The answer of course was noting. They wanted nothing to do with Jesus, wanted no dealings with Him, wanted Him to leave them alone.
The same question today is asked by millions and millions of people; what have we to do with thee? Most people want little or nothing to do with Jesus Christ. Those that want little to do with Him include the professing Christian. They want a little to do with Jesus. Want Him to save them, want Him to take them to heave, and then want Him to step out of their lives and be left to live any way that they want. Those that want nothing to do with Him are the lost. They would rather not even think of Jesus Christ.
Ever stop to think that all people of every age will have much to do with Jesus one day? We will all appear before Jesus Christ to be judged. On that day all will have a lot to do with Jesus. Wouldn’t it be better to have much to do with Him now?
