Daily Devotions
August 4th, 2015 by Pastor SolleyEx 19:17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.
Our evangelist, Tyler Kerlin, touched on why we have church camp in his message last evening, to meet with God. We have 55 staying in cabins this year, many are with us for the first time, and we are off to a good beginning. There were the usual first day issues. Some campers think they will be in charge of the camp and they always have a better way of doing things, or things they don’t want to do, but even in day one they seem to be getting the point of submitting to the rule of those in authority. Thunder storms went through last evening but most followed the river and there were no issues for our campers. Today the day begins with prayer time for staff in the chapel at 6:30AM and then off and running. Please pray that the Lord protect us, place His very capable arms around our camp and give us a good, good, day in Him. At chapel last evening some raised their hands for salvation needs but did not follow that up as far as I know, although there is a devotional time in cabins before lights out. Ask the Lord today for the convicting power of His Spirit in heats as well. More about camp tomorrow.
