July 2nd, 2015 by Pastor Solley2 Chron 7:14-15 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
Is this verse (14) an empty promise, or is it a promise of the power of God in response to prayer? We would agree I am sure that it is a promise of the power of God in response to prayer. Why then such a weak church today, why is our nation being turned into Sodom today, why no power of God? Because God’s people refuse to pray as they should, God’s people refuse to confess sin before Him and get right with Him, because God’s people are not fulfilling their part in prayer. Perhaps one thing recent decisions that have been made in our nation have done is awaken God’s people to the need, the need of prayer and a right walk with God. How can I, how can we expect the Supreme Court to do the right thing when so few Christians are doing the right thing?
