Gal 6:1-5 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
5 For every man shall bear his own burden.

How many seem to be overtaken today? By one ting or another we see many Christians falling by the wayside. It could be that one falls into sin and falls away, but it may be other things as well. Some become discouraged with physical illnesses, others financial woes, it could be trouble in the family, there are a number of things that can cause one to fall away from the Lord. Notice what the response of a spiritual Christian is to be in such a case, they are to be a help to the fallen brother. Most often that is not the case today. I will have people ask me about this person or that person, “Why don’t we see them anymore?” It is good they are concerned but at the same time they have not called them, have not went to see them, and perhaps don’t even pray for them. The pastor is to be a help to people in need, but this passage was not written to pastors, but to every child of God. We need at times to lift up our eyes and see those in need and then be a help to them. God has been speaking to my heart lately about being a burden bearer, about being more of a help to those in need. In that way we will fulfill the law of Christ.
