Matt 20:24 And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

There are times when a Christian needs to be moved with indignation against the brethren. When one stand in sin and opposes Bible truth, that calls for indignation against the professing brethren. We see many promoting the Bible perversions today, many claiming that social drinking is fine with God, many saying that society has changed and the Christian needs to change with it so we need to accept homosexuality and same sex marriage and other things along those lines. That does call for indignation, that should upset us, that should cause our voice to be raised up against sin. Then there are times when we need just keep our eyes upon Jesus and let Him take care of the matter. In Matthew 20 James and John had asked for seats of authority and recognition beside Jesus and this upset the others. They may have had cause, but they should have let Jesus handle the matter. There are times when we need just keep our eyes upon Him and not be so concerned with what others are doing. I do not mean in areas of open sin that needs to be rebuked, but in matters no so open and not so serious. It matters to me when people have no conviction to be in the house of God, but I can’t let that so upset me that it hinders my worship of the Lord. It matters to me when others seem to have no desire to serve, but I can’t allow that to hinder my service. Some things we need to be upset about and speak out, other things we need to let rest in the hands of God.
