Deut 33:27-29
27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
28 Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.
29 Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places. Is God your refuge today? Many will read that question and say yes. When they are in trouble they flee to God, when they need help they flee to God, when they have questions and needs they flee to God. God is their refuge.
Did you know that is not all verse 27 means? The Hebrew word for refuge is also one used for home, dwelling place, or abiding place. Now is God your refuge? Do you dwell with God? Do you walk in obedience to His Word, have you made the Lord your dwelling place, is your home with God 24 hours a day? Is God your refuge? One cannot walk in the world, fellowship with the world, be like the world and still claim that God is their refuge. No wonder so many have so many problems in their lives. They have no dwelling with God. I am not speaking about the lost but the saved. They have more of a home in the world than do in the Lord. They have no refuge with God. Where is your dwelling place today?
