1 Tim 2:1-3
2 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Do you ever find it difficult to pray for the leaders of our nation and for the nation in general today? I must confess this pastor does and he is not as faithful in doing so as he should be or God wants him to be. Our nation is on a downward spiral leading to a sure fall and judgment of God. Our sins as a nation are open and without shame and those sins are being pushed upon the righteous as at no other time in our history. Alcohol, drugs, homosexuality are ruling the land and there are still sins in the sight of a Holy God. What are we to so as Christians? How many of us will pray for the nation today? How many will pray for the salvation of our President and leaders in congress? How many will call out to God to continue to have mercy upon and send a revival to America? The answer to that is one reason we are not seeing revival, not seeing the nation turn back to its foundation. Today we need to begin, I need to begin anew and afresh to pray for America and her leaders. I wonder what would happen if we would pray.
