Eph 3:20-21
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

I wonder this morning how many Christians really believe Eph 3:20? I know we believe it because it is in the Bible, but how many really believe it to be true? Can God do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think? I was discussing with a fellow believer about prayer and being specific in prayer. We need to always pray in the will of God, for God’s will to be done, but how can God give us the desires of our heart unless we are specific in asking what we want in prayer? (Ps 37:4 Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.) When we walk with the Lord, delight ourselves in Him, we can ask for the desires of our heart, we can be specific in prayer. Recently I have been praying for some thing I will not openly tell about in this devotional, but specific miracles, asking the Lord to intervene in some very specific ways. Over the past three days God has moved and answered prayer in just the way I have been asking. Understand we need to seek the will of God, and when God answers no or wait as He often has in my life we need to thank Him for those answers as well, but one should never doubt what the Bible says in Eph 3:20. Our God is always able and we are able to ask Him for the desires of our heart.
