Ps 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

There are a lot of places to walk, stand, or sit, that are not good for the Christian. (Verse 1) Unfortunately they are the most popular seats. Sin abounds in society today, in government, and even in our churches. Yet the Bible tells us the blessings of God follow the one who places his or her delight in the law of the Lord. (Verse 2) Yet how few in our day are willing to so this, how few in our day are willing to stand on the Word of God and with the Lord. That is not a question, it is a statement. What of you dear friend? What is more important to you, the law of the Lord, or the counsel of the world, the friendship of the world? We need to remember which one leads to blessings and which one to sorrow. It is not always easy to take a stand for what is right, but it is always right. As you go about your business today take a moment to determine if God is pleased with what you are doing or the way you are doing it, take a moment to determine if you are following in the law of the Lord. To do so will cost you friendship with the world, but it will also lead to the blessings of God.
