September 10th, 2014 by Pastor SolleyPs 19:7-11 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
Yesterday we took note that none can be saved apart from the Word of God, today we see that God’s Word imparts wisdom to the simple. (Verse 7) One needs to begin here by understanding what a simple minded individual is. The Bible tells us that the fool hath said in his heart that there is no God, the beginning of wisdom is a knowledge of the Lord. The simple minded individual then would never consider God, would deny, would have no understanding of God at all and walk in utter darkness in this world. But with salvation comes wisdom, comes an understanding of God and thus an understanding of life. One cannot find meaning or purpose in life apart from God, he or she is left to wonder aimlessly through life. The person apart from God has no depth to their life, to their relationships, and no thought of eternity, it is an empty life. Yet this all changes when one cones to Christ. Be given to the Word of God Christian, and you will find wisdom.
