This is the last time the phrase “Little children” is found in the Bible. Those referred to here are ones who have been born again, children of God, most likely brought to Christ by John. But it does bring up a point that we can make today, that our children, our young people are being lost to the idols of the world. Parents today seem willing to rush them to the idols of the world, TV, music, sports, video games, cell phones, whatever the world has their children need to have as well. As the gather the things of the world thy begin as well to worship the gods of this world. Little children who know how to use a cell phone, have a face book account, use the latest music device, have no idea what the first book of the Bible is, have no idea there is something like church in the evenings or on Wednesday nights, may not even know that there is such a things as Sunday School. What of your children today, what idol have you given to them, what have you set up for them to worship?
