For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11 is that great chapter where many of the great men and women of faith are named, the hall of faith as we like to say. Yesterday was Memorial Day, a day when we stop to remember those who gave their lives for this once great and Godly nation. That are nation has turned away from God in no way takes away from what others have done to secure and preserve America. Just as we see faith slipping in many areas today, it does not take away from those who remain faithful to the Lord in these last days. While no name will be added to the record in Hebrews 11 we do know that our God keeps records, that books are being made even today in heaven that record the deeds of men and women both saved and lost. What does the record, what will it reveal about you? Is you name being recorded in heaven beside the faithful ones?
