April 18th, 2014 by Pastor SolleyJohn 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Take time on this Good Friday to meditate upon the finished work of salvation, the finished work of Calvary. Did Jesus die on Friday? We know He arose from the grave on Sunday, that much is sure. This preacher has never been able to fit three days and three nights in the grave between Friday and Sunday and that is the time that Jesus gave that He would be in the tomb. What is important is that Jesus Christ did die on the cross, died a sacrifice for the sins of the world so that all could be saved. What is important is that salvation was completed on the cross. Take time to think today of what Jesus Christ did for you. It is finished.
