Ex 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
Num 9:8 And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the Lord will command concerning you.
Josh 3:8 And thou shalt command the priests that bear the ark of the covenant, saying, When ye are come to the brink of the water of Jordan, ye shall stand still in Jordan.
1 Sam 12:7 Now therefore stand still, that I may reason with you before the Lord of all the righteous acts of the Lord, which he did to you and to your fathers.
1 Sam 14:9 If they say thus unto us, Tarry until we come to you; then we will stand still in our place, and will not go up unto them.
Job 37:14 Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
Acts 8:38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

So much to do today and so little time in which to get it done. Doesn’t that seem to be the way our lives are structured today? With so many things designed to save time; why do we have no time to get things done? Because we have filled our lives with things of little importance. One of the ways Satan is destroying lives today is by filling them with everything, filling them to the point that man has no time for the Lord. Seven times in the Bible we find the phrase “Stand still”. all of them in our reading this morning. Take note that the first and last times the phrase is used is in connection with salvation. We also find that we must stand still in order to hear the Word of the Lord, in order to receive blessings from the Lord, in order to move on in our Christians lives, to have victory in the Lord, and to understand the workings of the Lord. If any or all of these areas seem to be lacking in you, salvation, understanding, victory and so on it may very well be that you are just too busy to see what God has placed before you.
