March 7th, 2014 by Pastor SolleyRom 14:11-12 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. 12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Matt 13:8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
Another thing we will give account for one day is our service to the Lord. There are many things that distract us in this world today, some of them good and some of them bad, but they take us away from serving the Lord, take our eyes off our purpose after salvation. We have been created in Jesus unto good works. We are not saved by works but we should work for Him after we are saved, Every farmer who plants a field looks for 100% yield for his effort, not 60%, not 30%, but 100%. He does not always get that but he looks for it. So does our Lord look for 100% from us, He wants and deserves our best effort in service. But how often does Jesus get that effort, or how often does He get our left over time? Many people live years and years after they get saved and do absolutely nothing for the Lord. They never witness to others, never hand our tracts, never go door to door with the church, never lend a hand in building projects, never help in cleaning the church, never sing in the choir, they do nothing for Christ. Many of these same people see themselves as the most religious and pious in the church as well. But on judgment day what will they give for an answer when Jesus asks about their service? One day we will as believers give an account of our service for the Lord. One will appear on your account?
