Gen 18:17-19 And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; 18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? 19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

There is a very sobering thought in verse 19 of our reading this morning, God knew Abraham, knew all about him. The same can be said of all who are reading this today, God knows us, knows all about us. Because God knew Abraham God expected him to do certain things and that includes what follows in this chapter. God knew Abraham would intercede and pray for Lot to be spared in the coming judgment. But what does God know about you and expect from you today? Does God know that you will read your Bible and pray today? Does God know that you will seek His will and asked to be guided by His Word today? Does God know that you will resist the Devil and turn away from sin when tempted today? Does God know that you will stand up for Him today? Does God know that you will speak for Him when given the opportunity today? What does God know about you today, what does God expect today?
