But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro , and knowledge shall be increased.
Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.One of the signs of the last days according to the book of Daniel is an increase in knowledge and people running to and for. This is certainly a day when knowledge has increased. I don’t know if people are smarter but they do have more knowledge available to them. And people are always running everywhere. This past week I put over 1,5000 miles on the car, a lot for me.
One thing we need to remember as we run to and fro is to always make time for the Lord. Time to read His Word, time to pray. This does take time and discipline but it must be a part of the Christian’s life. Remember Jesus said “without me ye can do nothing”. There is nothing in our lives, nothing in this world that will not be better if we allow Jesus to be a part of it. Take the time to spend with the Lord in these busy days. You will find it better than running to and fro.
