December 19th, 2013 by Pastor Solley1 Thess 5:24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
Our God is faithful to complete what He begins. We need to remember as Christians that our God is the true one, the just one, the faithful one and that which we have committed unto Him is in good hands. (2 Tim 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.) We have just completed four days of special meetings with what has been the greatest moving of the Spirit of God in some time in our midst. The task at hand now becomes keeping the commitments made during those services. What makes the task all the more easy is the truth, the Bible truth, that God working in us will do the work if we allow Him, if we are yielded to His Spirit within. Notice again our text verse, “Faithful is He”. Our God is faithful and our God will do a work if we allow Him to do so. I watch Christians all the time who say what they are going to do, what they are able to do, who state with bold words the path they are going to follow. I watch as well those same ones fail time and time again, the reason being they do not allow God to do the work, they forget there is only one who is faithful, only one who can do all things, only one who is able to complete the task. My friend we can finish strong, we can finish well, we can complete the task, but only of we allow the Sprit of God to do the work through a yielded vessel. “Faithful is He”.
