1 Thess 5:24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

Thankful for the faithfulness of God in His presence. I was walking into a rest home to visit someone yesterday and stopped to talk to a lady in the entry way. When I asked her how she was she said she was fine, “But I wish I could get out of here”. Cold outside today I told here and she said “No, not today, but just home again, I am so lonely in here”. I began to think of how there are times in our lives when we may feel alone but for the Christian we never really are. The Lord Jesus Christ has promised His ever abiding presence. (Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.;
John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.) An ever abiding presence that will never be taken away. When we do feel lonely all we need to is go to Him in prayer, go to His Word, go to Him that abides within, allow Him to speak to us and speak to Him. That lady could feel all alone in a facility filled with residents and there are times we can feel all alone as well. But Christian, we are never left alone, He has promised and He is faithful, we are never alone.
