December 6th, 2013 by Pastor SolleyEx 8:8-10 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Intreat the Lord, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto the Lord. 9 And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only? 10 And he said, To morrow. And he said, Be it according to thy word: that thou mayest know that there is none like unto the Lord our God.
People do a lot of things tomorrow. Start reading the Bible everyday tomorrow, start praying right tomorrow, stop the bad habit tomorrow, start the diet tomorrow, people do a lot of things tomorrow. In our text today Pharaoh wanted the Lord to take the frogs out of the land and when asked when he wanted God to do it the answer came back, “To morrow”. Pharaoh wanted one more night in misery, one more night tormented by the frogs, one more night to suffer. It has always amazed me that Pharaoh said to morrow. But how many people have been introduced to Jesus Christ today, been introduced to the gospel, been introduced to the only one who can help them in this world, and said the very same thing? How many have I talked to in the past year about the gospel, how many have I talked to about Christ, and how many have said no to Jesus? The vast majority of people decide to wait until tomorrow and for most of them tomorrow will never come. The same can be said of many Christians today, they are saved, but they will start living for the Lord tomorrow. Ask yourself, what if Jesus were to come today?
