Matt 9:36-38
36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest , that he will send forth labourers into his harvest .Fall has arrived, the harvest time is here. Gardens have produced their veggies, the fields are ready to be picked, trees have yielded their fruit. All that remains is for the workers to gather everything in and let the ground sleep for the winter.
Spiritually we have seen another spring and summer pass, we are all the more closer to the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us heed His words, “the harvest is truly plenteous, but the laborers are few;” We do stand in the midst of a great field ready to be harvested. The time is running short, we are closer today than yesterday to the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. Yet what are we doing to win the lost for Christ? Have you witnessed to anyone in the past month, the past year? Are you living in a way that will turn the lost to Jesus Christ? This may be our last harvest season on this earth, let us bring in some lost soul to Jesus.
