John 18:1-8 When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples. 2 And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples. 3 Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. 4 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? 5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. 6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. 7 Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. 8 Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:

All who have ever sought Jesus have been able to find Him, our Lord is not hidden from man. Even here in the garden as they came seeking Jesus to arrest Him He was not hard to find. Many today speak of not being able to know the Lord or find the Lord and it may seem to them that God is hard to find. But the problem lies in the fact that they are not really searching for the Lord. They look to find purpose in life in every area imaginable except in the Word of God, except in the church house. Jesus is not hard to find if you look for Him. Open you Bible today and find Him in Genesis, find Him in Revelation, find Him in creation, find Him in judgment, look for Him and you will find Him. I think it amusing that in our text for today that those who found Jesus did not know what to do with Him. (The fell backward.) The same today, many who find Him don’t know what to do with Him. Even in our church service Sunday two people raised their hands for a need of salvation, yet they did not take that step. When we find Him we need to do something with Him. Have you humbled yourself before the Lord Jesus Christ and asked Him to save you from your sin? Have you humbled yourself before Him and turned your life over to Him? We need to know what to do with Jesus when we find Him.
