October 24th, 2013 by Pastor Solley2 Tim 1:8-12 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: 11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. 12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
People in what used to be America must now purchase health insurance by government order or face fines and I am sure more to make sure that they do. Why? The government says that we will be prepared for “That day”, the day we will get sick, the day we will be hospitalized, the day we will need it. For most of the people I know this will break them, not help them. Yet the Bible tells us we need to be ready for “That day” as well. But our God will not force anyone to be ready, be ready for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ, be ready for the day of death, be ready for the day of judgment, God will not force you to be ready. Rest assured there is a day coming, a day you need to be ready for, and God has made every provision for you, God has sent His Son the Lord Jesus Christ into this world, Jesus died on the cross for all, Jesus calls all to Him, His grace and mercy is extended to all, just so all can be ready for “That day”. Yet God will not force anything on you, you have a free will, you have choice. Unlike our government our God will allow you to choose. Are you ready for “That day”?
