1 Cor 15:45-49
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.While this passage is speaking of the resurrection I would like to make a different application this morning. When one gets saved they are quickened or made alive, spiritually alive to God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. We have new life and a new life. No longer are we to be governed by the natural but now by the spiritual. Once we were of the earth but now we are of the heavenly. If these things be true then we ought to live changed lives, different lives, we ought to live for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If these things be true we ought to bear the image of the heavenly.
Are these things true of you? Are you saved today? Then if so are you bearing the image of the heavenly? This is an important question today. One of the problems with our servicemen oversees right now is they cannot identify the enemy most of the time, they look and act like everyone else. Christian that should never be true of you.
