Daily Devotions

Acts 19:9 But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.

Here we find the Apostle Paul disputing in the school of a man named Tyrannus. Paul had come upon hard hearts, people that spoke evil of the gospel of Jesus Christ and Paul was in a battle.
Prayers need to be made for children, younger, older, and college students as well as classes begin this week. Many Christians will be found, or should be found disputing in the schools. The public schools are no friend to the Christian, the college campus and classroom an enemy. Please be in prayer for those walking into the battlefield, pray that they have the resolve to stand apart from sin and stand with Christ even though they may seem to be all alone. This is not a new fight, not a new enemy, Paul was in the fight and faced the same enemy in his day. Yet it does seem harder today as we near the return of the Lord for the Christian to stand as he or she should. Today we see open attacks upon Christianity, upon the gospel, and our young people need prayer. Try and be sure to pray for the youth in your church as we will try, I will try and pray for them on a daily basis. The enemy is the same but so is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and He can, He will do great and might things in answer to our prayers.
