Daily Devotions

Prov 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

We begin our week of “Camp” today at Cherry Corner and I am asking all who read these devotionals for special prayer throughout this week. Satan has worked hard against this camp in the past and we are expecting more of the same this week so we do need prayer. We know Satan has little to fear from any of us, but we also know the power of our God. Pray that we have a safe week, a good spirit, and that God put a hedge about us. We have 48 campers coming in this week from several different churches and I will give an update each morning on the events of the previous day. One thing young people need today is Jesus Christ. Parents are interested in giving them everything and everyone else, but not the Lord. Many we have invited to camp cannot come because of band practice, or football practice, or soccer practice, or one thing or another. In this day when we see sin abounding so much, when we see a generation lost in the world, lost to Satan, it amazes me that parents don’t want to bring their children to the Lord, don’t want to give them the most important training of all. We begin today at 9:30Am and will break camp on Saturday at 9:30AM, pray for us.
