Acts 9:13-16 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: 14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. 15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: 16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.

What was Paul’s reward for a life turned over to Jesus Christ? Once he kicked hard against God and God’s program, once he kicked hard against the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Acts 9:5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.) That all changed the day that Saul turned his life over to Jesus Christ. Salvation is reward enough for any man, but Paul received other rewards as well. Notice that everyone at that time, in that area had heard of Saul. (Verse 13) Saul was known for doing evil things, and he was proud of them as well. He is known the world over now and thousands of years later, but no longer for evil things. We know the Apostle Paul as perhaps the greatest servant of Jesus Christ the world has ever see, we know him as one sold out 100% for Jesus Christ. How many other men or women can you say that about? Most of us cannot even remotely claim that about ourselves. Paul received a reward, the reward of being known as one sold out for Christ, the reward of being an example for thousands and thousands who came after him, the reward of hearing “Well done” when he got to heaven. There are rewards in giving a life to Christ, in stopping kicking against the Lord and living for the Lord.
