Luke 18:1-7 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. 6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

There is much that gives one reason to fait today. Iniquity is abounding, the lost seem to prosper, government taking steps to rid this nation of God altogether, traditional marriage being attacked, abortion, on and on we can go. There is much to cause one to faint today. Yet Jesus wants us to pray and not to faint. One thing Satan does is attack the prayer life of the believer. I know this preacher battles in this area, the area of prayer. God wants us to pray, wants to hear from us, men ought always to pray. We ought to but at times we do not, or at least we do not pray as we should. When that happens then we will faint. Why is it though we do not pray as we should, we do not pray as we need to. Today take a moment and examine your prayer life, it is what it needs to be. Beginning tomorrow we will look at some reasons that we let prayer slip in our lives. One thing for sure, if we do not pray we will faint.
