And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them .With the lost we have seen that their works do follow them. What now of the redeemed in Christ? Do works matter for the Christian? Notice the verse above. Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord. This has to be speaking of the saved individual. Their works do follow them. Christian we are known by our works and will be judged according to them as well. I am not speaking of salvation for we are saved by GRACE through faith. But after we are saved works matter just as much for us as they do for the lost. Find that place in the Bible where it tells us to just forget about everything, relax, put your feet up, live anyway you want because you are on your way to heaven. In truth works matter more for the Christian than they do for the lost.
By your works you may lead another to Jesus Christ and by your works you may drive others away. By your works you may glorify your Savior and by your works you may do harm to His name. Yes we are saved by faith but then our works do follow. Let your works shine a light on the Savior. Works do matter.
