As our nation celebrates its freedom today the Christian can celebrate the freedom we have in Jesus Christ. Christ died for our sins, for your sin and mine, to make us free from sin, and we are free when we repent and turn to Christ for forgiveness and salvation. As Christians we no longer have to live in bondage to sin, do not have to be tied to sin, do not have to be destroyed by sin, we are free to love and serve Jesus Christ, the one whop saved us from sin. What glorious liberty we have in Jesus Christ. One of the things that distress us today is the way our government is giving away our freedom, turning it over to the UN, or simply abolishing the freedoms that we have as Americans. That is one thing we do not have to worry about in Christ, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Once free in Christ we never need return to that bondage of sin. Thank God for our nation today and the freedoms we still have, but thank God the Father as well for His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the freedom we will always have in Him.
