Mark 6:30-32 And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught. 31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. 32 And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.

Sorry for the lack of posts last week. On Sunday night a week ago we drove through the night to NC and spent the week there and I could not connect to our church site for some reason. It is good to get away at time and rest. We had a wonderful week of VBS, six young people repented and were saved, but it can also be a tiring week. One thing to remember though when we do get away for a time is that we should not seek to get away from Jesus. So many when they go on vacation also go on a vacation from God. Think of it for a moment, we don’t want the Lord to ever take a vacation from us, so why should we take a vacation from Him. When you do get away be sure to be in prayer and in your Bible everyday. Find a good church that you can attend as well on Sunday and Wednesday. Too many Christians never give this a thought as they go on summer vacation. Notice that when the disciples went apart to rest, they went with Jesus, they did not need a rest from Him.
