1 Tim 4:12-13 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

Once again out teen class for VBS is our largest class which tells me something. As I look at the students in the class perhaps half of them are not in church because their parents bring them, rather their grandparents do or they come with a friend. Many of them will drift away from the Lord in the next few years and leave the church. Parents will then say that the church is losing its young people, what can be done about it. The church is not losing its young people because they never belonged to the church is the first place. Children belong to their parents and when their parents have no interest in spiritual things the children will not have any interest as they grow older. The church cannot loose what it never had, but parents can lose their children because they never brought them to the church.
