Gen 8:21-22 And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Another thought about summer this morning. It is easy to get discouraged with all that we see about us in this day and age, the increase of sin, the indifference people have toward God and the things of God and that includes the professing Christian, what is taking place in our nation as we turn more and more away from God and shut Him out of everything, it is easy to become discouraged. Yet we find that God is still on the throne, God is still in control of all. While the earth remains all things will go on as He directed and directs.
(Verse 22) We still can place absolute confidence in the God that created all because He is still over all.
