Jer 33:1-3 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying, 2 Thus saith the Lord the maker thereof, the Lord that formed it, to establish it; the Lord is his name; 3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Verse 3 in our text this morning holds a promise of answered prayer. Yet would you notice that one does need to call unto the Lord. So many times even as Christians when we are in need we fail to call upon Him. We think, we ponder, we hope, but often we fail to pray, really pray and call upon the name of the Lord. There are times when there in none to help, no hope in sight, all seems to be lost, and then we call upon Him. Why not call upon Him in the beginning and always, why not call upon Him often, why not pray, pray, and pray again? Christian, take time today to pray.
