March 6th, 2013 by Pastor SolleyLuke 18:1-8 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. 6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
These are very troubling times we are living in, especially for a Christian. With sin abounding on every side, leaders who are intent on destroying this nation, taking it down a Satanic path. The things this preacher has seen in his lifetime he never could have imagined. See the elected leader of a self proclaimed Christian nation making it a priority to turn the nation against all that is Godly saddens and scares me as well. My Bible says that God will not be mocked and that is exactly what this nation is doing considering our roots. What then to do? The Bible gives us the answer, “Men ought always to pray”. Not complain, not riot, not give up, PRAY! Yet prayer is the one thing that is missing the most I fear. Prayer is absent in our nation, in our churches, in our homes, and in our lives, we have become a people apart from prayer. The reason I say that is the evidence that is before our eyes. I know what the course of this world is, that things will get worse and worse, but that does not mean we do not pray. Could God send a revival to our nation once again? Not apart from prayer. Men ought always to pray.
