John 17:15-17 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

What is your source of truth today? Many find truth in the writings of men, in the reformers, or in Bible scholars and professors, or in in commentaries, and the like. But where do you go to find truth? The Bible, the Word of God, that is the only source of truth for those who seek it. For the Bible believer the Bible is not an authority, not the highest authority, not even the final authority, it is the ONLY authority, the Bible is truth. So when you find that men of the past do not line up with the Word of God, the men of the past are wrong. When you find one today who does not line up with the Word of God, that man is wrong. The Bible is, must be, the ONLY authority. When Luther gives a false message on baptism, Luther is wrong. When Calvin give a false message on salvation, Calvin is wrong. The Bible is the ONLY authority and when men do not present Bible truth they are wrong. Today let the Bible be your authority for truth.
